Meet Heather! Heather is a Research Supervisor - Rotables/GSE at S3 International and has been with the company over seven years now. Heather has combined aviation experience totaling over 19 years! She previously worked on AV-8B Harriers in the Marine Corps before working for S3. In addition, Heather worked for Raytheon, DynCorp and Boeing as a Government Contractor training Marines in aviation logistics and for Midwest Airlines as a Research Analyst. Her extensive aircraft knowledge is a great asset to our team.
What is a typical work day like for you? Very busy!! My day consists of researching multiple aircraft platforms, including aircraft parts from nose to tail — anywhere from AOGs (Aircraft on Ground) to long term contracts.
What is your favorite part of your job? Solving problems and talking to people.
What is it like working for S3? Working for S3 is very flexible! You get rewarded for busting your butt (work hard, play hard). I really enjoy the diverse group of people; we are one big team!
What are the challenges you face in your position? It can sometimes be difficult getting responses in a timely manner.
What are your strengths in correlation to your job? Thinking outside the box and vast aircraft knowledge.
What do you enjoy outside of work/hobbies? Raising exotic pets, motorcycling, seeing the world with my husband and kids and anything spontaneous and crazy.
